JOB DESCRIPTION

We have a very exciting opportunity to join our UK Trading team as a Trading Lead!

Working within the Brands trade team of Ecommerce, and specialising on our Premium & Fashion brands, you’ll be responsible for delivering the UK online sales targets. 

In this role you’ll liaise directly with one of our brands, driving forward the efficiency of their marketing and web funnel on the Next.co.uk website. You will take a data led approach to decision making, using both Ecommerce insights and insights from the brands to maximise sales.

As well as owning these brands on next.co.uk you will also support to ensure these brands are included in marketing and the wider marketing strategy where appropriate. 

We can offer hybrid working with part of the week working at Next Head Office in Enderby, Leicestershire and part of the week working remotely (3 days office, 2 days remote)!

About the role

  • Optimise the online funnel by improving the performance of PLP and PDP (Imagery, descriptions, item titles, attribution, sizing information, tabs, SEO copy etc.)  
  • Deliver regular performance updates back to the brands director level, through weekly in-person attendance at trade meetings, and monthly reviews meetings. This will include challenges back to the brand on what they need to do to drive sales growth.
  • Work closely with the brand’s business and Next Product’s teams to ensure they’re represented on Next UK as effectively as possible (sharing assets, new launches and content). The brand's exposure within marketing will still be aligned to net sales/profit but they will work to ensure the exposure is on the right items and we have the right assets to support.
  • Work closely with the brand and product to support securing additional stock and ranges
  • Deliver the brand stories through our website, and deliver trend led content to engage and inspire our customers, through the planning, implementation and recording of marketing activity.
  • Own imagery & seasonal re-shoot implementation, as well as suggest and implement new website functionality & improvements to UX.
  • Deliver the brand’s trade terms, including onsite improvements and marketing visibility 
  • Supports the wider Ecommerce marketing strategy and ensures we expose these brands inline with sales. Also ensures we have the latest information from the brands to ensure we are marketing the right products.

  • Reviews and optimises returns rates
  • Supports marketing strategy and actions/briefs the relevant brand exposure on next.co.uk and through owned channel marketing (Homepage, navigations, push notifications, email) 
  • Highlights opportunities & actions taken to the ecommerce business owner and brand directly 
  • Presents regularly to senior stakeholders and attends and contributes to trading meetings 
  • Works closely with the internal buying team to push through sales improvements
  • Suggested new website functionality & improvements to UX   
  • Supports commercial QA

  • Extremely strong communication skills and experience in presenting to senior management
  • Analytical and comfortable with large volumes of data
  • Organised, thorough and excited by a challenge you’ll work well in a busy and fast moving environment
  • Good at prioritising workload to meet requirements and tight deadlines.
  • Great attention to detail
  • Highly motivated and hardworking with a professional attitude who is able to work under pressure in a faced paced environment.
  • Experience of working in an online environment and/or trading & merchandising.
  • Keen interest in Fashion
