The Supply Register is currently working in partnership with Sir Joseph Williamson’s Mathematical School in Rochester, Kent, to find a dedicated Teacher of Economics to join their team from September 2024. You will be joining an Economics department which is highly successful and has a track record of delivering excellent outcomes for pupils, particularly at A Level, where it is extremely popular.
Sir Joseph Williamson’s Mathematical School is a selective boys grammar school with a coeducational sixth form. It is a seven form of entry school with over 1500 pupils. The school has exceptional facilities and a distinctive ethos of providing outstanding academic teaching alongside a range of exceptional opportunities for all pupils.
Responsibilities
- Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
- Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
- Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
- Plan and teach well structured lessons
- Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
- Make accurate and productive use of assessment
- Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment
- Fulfil wider professional responsibilities
Requirements
- Must be a qualified Economics Teacher with QTS
- Must have the Right to Work in the UK
- Must hold an Enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one
- Must be able to provide a minimum of 2 years’ worth of professional references
