THE ROLE
The post-holder will ensure the department's alignment with systems, academic regulations, and quality assurance. Responsibilities include overseeing program delivery, supporting Programme Officers and engaging in project work for education development. The role involves mentoring Programme Officers, handling governance, and coordinating key academic cycle stages.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee governance, regulation and coordination for best practice course delivery.
- Support coordination of academic cycle stages, including admissions, induction, teaching and assessments.
- Coordinate teaching delivery on specific programs, plan social events and ensure all course requirements are met.
- Provide day-to-day task coordination for Programme Officers, supporting implementation of new systems and procedures.
- Offer programme administration support, student/trainee pastoral care and assistance with extenuating circumstances.
- Coordinate Exam Board meetings, maintain records and support course development in collaboration with Program Directors.
- Attend relevant meetings, oversee curriculum data maintenance and update program information.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Understanding of higher education systems and student experience.
- Strong HE administration experience, to include previous experience in Programme Administration.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage conflicting deadlines.
- Team player with the ability to handle high volumes of information accurately and confidentially.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, electronic HE systems (SITS, Moodle), and online platforms.
