This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, highly motivated, and enthusiastic professional to join the School of Life Sciences to manage the administration of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
The School of Life Sciences has a large and vibrant student population, with over 1300 undergraduate students, 150 postgraduate taught students and 350 postgraduate research students.
You will provide high level administrative support and oversee the day-to-day administration of the School’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, working closely with senior staff across the School and the wider University to support delivery.
You will lead the Educational Support Services office (circa 11 staff members) and be responsible for line management and development of five direct reports.
You will provide informed advice to staff and students on University and School procedural and regulatory matters and influence the development of School policy relating to UG and PG activity. You will scope, design and implement new systems and processes, actively seeking to make improvements where possible.

You will be an experienced team manager, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of professionals to deliver Educational Support Services.
You will have knowledge of the higher education sector, with experience of project management and working in a student facing administrative role.
You will have a degree-level qualification and/or equivalent experience and will have excellent IT and communication skills.
You will be highly organised with the ability to effectively prioritise your own work and that of others to meet strict deadlines. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and build effective relationships with key stakeholders.
