Our client is a leading Mechanical and Electrical M&E Subcontractor based in Essex/London, specializing in delivering high-quality services for Commercial Office Fit-outs, Infrastructure, and refurbishment projects. With a strong focus on innovation and client satisfaction, they have established themselves as a trusted partner in the construction industry. Founded over 50 years ago my client has built relationships with some of the UK’s leading main contractors and Blue-chip companies, which has led to a health order book for 2024 and are now looking to add a Junior Electrical Estimator to their team.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Estimator to learn and grow within the M&E industry. Working alongside our Senior Estimator, you will assist in estimating electrical projects, preparing bids, and collaborating with clients and stakeholders. This role offers hands-on experience and the chance to develop valuable skills in project estimation and management.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior Estimator in estimating electrical projects.
- Collaborate with the team to prepare accurate and competitive bids.
- Review project plans, specifications, and requirements.
- Support in preparing tender submissions and proposals.
- Learn and utilize estimation software and tools.
- Assist in analysing project costs and budgets.
- Participate in project meetings and discussions.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-year experience working in a site or office role within the M&E industry
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and components
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
- Qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory, my client is open to providing training and support to the right candidate.
