Job description

EHCP administrator needed in Cambridge. 
Start ASAP. 
About the role:
The primary purpose of this job role is to provide direct and indirect administration support on behalf of EAS/EHCP/High Needs Funded students. Example duties, tasks and responsibilities:
  • Maintain confidential records of all learners with learning support/EHCPs.
  • Co-ordinate Specialist Equipment Loans between the Local Authority’s ICT Service and EAS/High Needs Funded/EHCP students.
  • Maintain and track equipment loan records for internal and external loans to EAS/High Needs Funding/EHCP students.
  • Maintain the confidential records of all EAS/High Needs Funded/EHCP students, to include but not limited to hard copy and electronic files, ProMonitor, excel spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Track Local Authority Taxi arrangements for EAS/High Needs Funded students, and liaise with Educational Transport teams as appropriate.
  • Support the EHCP Team by providing on-site escorting and orientation support for EAS/High Needs Funded/EHCP students, their families and external advocates as appropriate.
  • Liaise directly with Local Authorities to identify students with current EHCPs, request EHCP consultations and report consultation results as appropriate.
  • Support the EHCP Team by co-ordinating and booking Annual EHCP Reviews with students, families, colleagues, advocates and professionals as appropriate.
  • Maintain stationery, paper and supply stocks, ordering as required.
  • Collect and distribute post to the EHCP Team.
  • Manage the central email address(es) for the EHCP Team on a daily basis.
The successful candidate will be based at both our Cambridge and Huntingdon campuses and there will be allowance for some agile/home working.
What we are looking for in our role:
  • Experience of providing a service to vulnerable people
  • Good record keeping and administrative skills
  • Ability to work as an effective team member
  • Can communicate clearly, articulately and professionally both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent in the use of Microsoft Office
  • You will have a Level 2 equivalent ICT or Administration qualifications or equivalent
  • You will have English and maths at GCSE ‘C’ or Grade 4 or equivalent
  • Willing to tackle both routine and challenging tasks
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of student/staff information
  • Self-motivated approach andability to work with limited supervision
  • Ability to promote and safeguard the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults
  • A commitment to equality & diversity
