Environmental Health and Safety Assistant
£15.73 per hour
Temporary role in Wrexham working Monday to Friday 8am 4pm

The Role
Our client is a global food manufacturer who provide a positive and supportive working environment for its employees. We are supporting them with the recruitment of an Environmental Health and Safety Assistant on a temporary basis, which could lead to a permanent opportunity for the right person.
Responsibilities of the Environmental Health and Safety Assistant:

• Completion of site wide risk assessments.
• Provide resolutions of EHS challenges.
• Take ownership of regulatory compliance databases and ensure they are up to date.
• Review chemical assessments (COSH) to ensure control measures are in place and adhered to.
• Promote safe behaviours and influence a positive safety culture.

The Candidate
The successfully appointed Environmental Health and Safety Assistant will have the following skills and abilities:

• NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent
• Experience with document control and management systems
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent IT skills for all Microsoft office packages.
• Experience and knowledge of EHS legislative requirements
• Previous experience with manufacturing plants
• Strong team player and confident problem-solving skills.
