A Global FMCG Manufacturer based in Manchester is currently recruiting for a Environmental Health & Safety Lead to join their team. This role will require experience in a GMP Chemical / Food / Pharmaceutical / Cosmetics manufacturing environment.
This role is site based and post study work visas / sponsorship can not be considered.
EHS Lead responsibilities include:
Assure compliance of the site safety Standard by following various programmes like Internal Audits, PSM Audit, DSEAR Audit and Fire Safety Audit.
Make sure all the activities on site are conducted safely by adhering to safety procedures and methods and maintain 0 TIR
Make sure all the RA are revised in timely manner and any new work is activity assessed for any possible risk
Engaging with the shop floor and staffs to improve site safety culture
Driving the environmental and sustainability improvement projects
Organising the safety related training and maintain the Skill Matrix for the site
Log all the safety Hazards, near misses and Accidents and investigate near misses and accident using root cause analysis and implement robust actions to avoid reoccurrence
Make sure all accident investigations are completed to a high standard and available as valued documents in any possible legal proceedings
Ensure Deviations, CAPA and Change Control are progressed in a compliant and timely manner
Make sure the CIP actions for Health and safety are completed within deadlines, Arrange monthly follow up meetings with departmental heads and maintain completion rate
Supporting the Quality dept. during Internal, external ISO Audits and as business demands
Supporting the maintenance department on the on all aspect of permits and contractor management.
Prepare monthly safety presentation/reports and communicate with Site Management and shop floor and display the results on the notice boards
Supporting the site on compliance to the site Safety handbook
You will be a degree qualified / equivalent in a science subject and have experience working as a H&S Supervisor / Health & Safety Officer used to working in a Manufacturing environment.
Experience in the Batch Manufacturing Food/Chemical/Pharmaceuticals/Cosmetics will be advantageous as well as DSEAR regulations experience.
