We are seeking a skilled and experienced 


Environment, Health and Safety Manager (EHS Manager- Energy Storage AFEU)

 

to join our team working for a better future. The position is permanent and the preferred location is Fareham, UK. 

 

What you will be doing 


The role is environmental, health and safety focused however social accountability, sustainability and ESG knowledge is desirable. This role will involve conducting review of legal and customer EHS requirements, conducting inspections, audits, preparation of EHS documentation, preparing risk and hazard assessments, environmental aspects and impacts review as well as providing guidance, training to employees, and supporting our teams to achieve a high standard to meet internal and external stakeholder requirements. The successful candidate will need to possess good communication skills and be conversant with promoting and maintaining a positive safety culture. The position requires a valid driving license, the right to work in the UK without sponsorship and ability to travel to sites in UK and Europe.

 

As EHS Manager- Energy Storage AFEU, your work will focus on these responsibilities: 

 

  • Preparation and periodic review of EHS Management Plans and documentation.
  • Conduct regular inspections and site audits to identify potential EHS risks and hazards, report them and lead the corrective action planning
  • Ensure compliance with relevant occupational health & safety, environmental and social standards and regulations.
  • Conduct EHS incident investigations and complete incident reports.
  • Coordinate and assist with emergency procedures and periodic emergency drills
  • Train Site Resources to meet regulatory and client HSE requirements.
  • Attend and/or coordinate contractor or stakeholder meetings as part of the EHS qualification process.
  • Assess EHS data to identify trends, improvement areas, and best practices to drive continuous improvement of the EHS Management System.
  • Compile and present EHS data and reports to stakeholders to ensure alignment and proactively identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Engage with authorities and keep up to date with HSE regulatory legislation
  • Communicate and recommend EHS programs, processes, orientations and notifications to stakeholders

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: 

 

  • General Certificate in NEBOSH
  • 3-5 years of experience in EHS management, coordination, and auditing in UK (including method statements and RAMS)
  • Experience with CDM regulations
  • Excellent English and Computer skills Word, P/point, Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience on EHS management in Energy Storage Systems an advantage  

 

In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 10%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
