Deputy Care Manager

Opening for an experienced Senior or Deputy manager to join a leading provider of care and educational services, dedicated to supporting children with learning difficulties. You will join a well established team who are committed to creating inclusive environments, where every child has the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.

Role Overview:
As the Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of our program. Working closely with the Manager, you will help develop and implement strategies to deliver high-quality educational support tailored to the unique needs of each child. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentoring to ensure the delivery of outstanding services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Manager in overseeing all aspects of the Children's Learning Difficulty Service, including program development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide leadership and direction to a team of teachers, support staff, and therapists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Work collaboratively with families, educational professionals, and external agencies to develop individualised learning plans for children with learning difficulties.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and strategies, making adjustments as necessary to ensure positive outcomes for children.
• Stay abreast of best practices, research, and developments in the field of special education, incorporating new knowledge into program design and delivery.
• Support the Manager in budget management, resource allocation, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Level 3 Children & Young People Workforce or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with children with learning difficulties, ideally in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Strong understanding of different learning styles, disabilities, and interventions, with a commitment to inclusive education.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate a team, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to special education.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
