The Opportunity
In the role of Elections Administrator, here’s an example of what you’ll be doing to make an impact:
- processing applications to register to vote and applications to vote by post or proxy and maintaining /updating the electoral register.
- dealing with customer and elector enquiries by telephone or email
- taking part in the allocation and administration of staff recruitment for local, national elections, referenda, and other electoral events.
- Raising purchase orders and compiling / raising invoices for customers
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have…
To apply you much be able to demonstrate your ability to accurately interpret and input data using computer systems, have a calm and approachable manner and you must have experience in maintaining records and dealing with confidential information.
You must hae a good standard of Maths and English, previous experience of dealing with customers and experience in processing of application for services. Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is desirable.
The successful person will be required to work outside of normal hours in the lead up to elections and other key periods for which additional pay or time-off arrangements will apply.
