Electrical Design Engineer

We are currently searching for an Electrical Design Engineer for one of Europe’s fastest growing general contractors in the mission critical and life sciences sectors. This business boasts over 50 years in business and annual turnover is pushing the €2 billion mark. The business is going through a growth phase and with that, are looking to bolster their design team from the Dublin Office.

You will be working for a market leading contractor that operates a diverse business model and demands modern health and safety and employee engagement practises. This client has a project pipeline full for several years to come, making this a fantastic opportunity for anyone to join a company who asserting themselves as the market leader.

The ideal candidate will be several years post-graduation and have experience working for a reputable main contactor or specialist MEP contractor. The orderbook is already full for the coming years with all their closest clients still as busy as ever.

Electrical Design Engineer Key Responsibilities:

• Familiarity with and management of Project Schedules in conjunction with other trades, Package Leads, consulting Engineer and Client requirements
• Manage design process through to commissioning stage.
• Have a presence at design meetings.
• Management of all costs associated with your package.
• Attendance at Site Meetings, Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning Meetings and Handover Meetings
• Maintain weekly project diary.
• Liaise with subcontractors.

Key Requirements:

• Relevant Building Services qualifications
• 2+ years’ experience in a mechanical engineering role
• Excellent, team working, organisational and planning skills.
• Travel flexibility
• Career ambition
