Do you have electrical / electronic design experience, and are you seeking a new job in Coventry? Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a specialist OEM in the development of a full EV Motorcycle seeking an experienced Electrical / Electronic Design Engineer, on a full-time basis to support the development of their fledgling fully electric motorcycle.
As an Electrical / Electronics Design Engineer, you will drive development of electrical and electronic systems for electric vehicles such as the Charger control unit, BMS, DC-DC converter, Motor Controller, Vehicle Controller, EDS systems, Switches, Electrical Integration and Systems Development, etc.
Duties and responsibilities as an Electrical / Electronics Design Engineer will include:
- Conduct DR, FMEA (system/design) and apply all such tools in the design phase
- Define and deliver design solutions across all areas of electrical systems and associated electronics
- Performance and reliability test parameters, procedures for designed parts
- Keep track of global trends in relevant technology and regulations
- Develop long-term road maps and appropriate work plans.
To apply for this Electrical / Electronics Design Engineer role, you will need a formal qualification, with experience in development electrical and/or electronic systems ideally for niche electric vehicles with two wheeler being a distinct advantage. You will also require:
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge of Electrical / Electronic Systems within vehicle development
- Two-wheel experience is preferred although any automotive or EV background will be considered
- EV/HV experience (or demonstrable knowledge of) is preferred.
