Electrical Design Engineer

REED Engineering are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturer, supplier and service specialist of electrical equipment who are seeking to employ an experienced Electrical Design Engineer n a permanent basis. To be considered in this position you should be educated to HNC/HND (or higher) level and be capable of producing electrical schematic diagrams, preferably via AutoCAD Electrical.

As Electrical Design Engineer, some of your key duties will include:

- Review customer requirements and provide control panel specifications and estimates
- Create electrical schematic diagrams and layout diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical software
- Produce Bills of Materials and other supporting documentation
- Support Manufacturing with resolving issues and meeting relevant standards
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests
- Communicate with other departments within the business on technical and organisational issues
- Create Operation and Maintenance files for completed projects

The ideal candidate will have/be:

- Hold an HNC degree or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- Have experience in designing and building industrial control panels and motor control centres.
- Communicate effectively with others.
- Produce electrical schematic diagrams, preferably using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Use Microsoft Office and AutoCAD proficiently.
- Operate SAP systems.
