Attention all seasoned Electrical Design Engineers!
Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are searching for a driven Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading, independent Engineering and Construction contractor. This long-term contract position is located in Warrington, and allows the selected candidate to operate on a largely remote basis! Our client is offering a fantastic opportunity to work on major nuclear projects in the UK.
You will be joining a reputable Mechanical and Electrical contractor, who specialise in a variety of sectors across the building services and infrastructure industries. Our client offers services throughout all stages of the project lifecycle, from planning and design, through to installation and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems - power, earthing, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, lightning protection etc
- Checking the design work of fellow team members and external designers in accordance with departmental procedures
- Managing own workload, updating forward plan of workload regularly and working to time allocations
- Carry out the production of detailed calculations using industry standard software tools including, Amtech and in-house developed tools etc
- Preparing conceptual designs with a view to ensuring safe, practical, and economic solutions in accordance with current standards
- Reviewing progress, including reporting any anomalies and changes of scope to the project lead
Key Requirements:
-Degree qualified, in Electrical Engineering or a related subject
-Ability to obtain SC clearance
- Previous experience working on containment projects
- Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and independently when necessary
-Experience of working in a Contractor is beneficial
- BPSS clearance
- Proficiency in Amtech and Dialux software
- Good level of computer literacy in a range of digital tools including Amtech
- Awareness of the principles of building physics such as passive design solutions and fabric first approaches
- Past experience working on Nuclear projects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
