Electrical Design Engineer

A exciting opportunity has arisen within WHP Telecoms Ltd for a experiences Electrical Design Engineer based at our Warrington, Glasgow or Belfast office.

Duties and key responsibilities include:

• Produce Electrical Designs using electrical OM software and AutoCAD.
• Actively support the wider design team with electrical engineering solutions.
• Aid the senior management team with technical support upon scope changes and new projects.
• Support senior design team in producing technical guidance and processes regarding electrical engineering.
• Attend site surveys where specialist input is required.
• Identify and support opportunities for cost savings, efficiency and business development.
• Ensure all safety, quality, technical and commercial requirements are being met.

Qualifications & Experience needed for this role (E = Essential) (D = Desirable)

• Electrical deisgn - C&G 2396 Level 4 award in the design and verification of electrical installations (E)
• Must have worked in the Telecoms industry (E)
• Educated to a degree level in a relevant engineering discipline (D)
• Proficient in electrical OM Software and AutoCAD (E)
• Working knowledge of the DNO industry best practice (D)
• Experience of Design Engineering on projects in renewable energy (D)
