Position: EC&I Design Engineer
Location: Widnes, Hybrid (mostly remote working)
Salary: Between 45,000 & 55,000 per annum DOE

The work the company undertakes spans the nuclear industry (95% of projects), as well as the pharmaceutical, oil and gas, automotive, and food sectors, offering a diverse and exciting environment.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior EC&I Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Detailed design of panel drawings and schematics, using AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft tools.
- Involvement in concept development, electrical detailed design, build, and commissioning, with the opportunity to assist in the build of control panels.
- Specification and procurement of equipment and instrumentation.
- Technical management throughout the full project lifecycle, including design calculations, installation route design, and project design reviews.
- Complete hardware testing, factory and site acceptance testing, and control panel function testing.
- On-site commissioning, fault finding, project oversee, and management.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Experience in automation-based hardware design, preferably in the nuclear industry, but open to candidates from varied backgrounds.
- Knowledge of the Functional Safety Lifecycle, Hazardous area Design, and IEC standards would be advantageous.
- Ability to work with AutoCAD Electrical, with openness to in-house or external training.
- British citizenship due to defense projects.
