Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and maintenance of electrical and control systems for heavy lifting equipment. Main Responsibilities and Duties:

• Design and develop electrical and control systems for heavy lifting equipment.
• Create detailed electrical and control system specifications, including hardware and software selection.
• Generate electrical circuit diagrams and schematics.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Electrical Design and safety standards, European directives, and legislation.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new equipment designs.
• Install, commission, test, and operate equipment in workshop and field settings.
• Provide technical support to customers both remotely and onsite.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
• Develop and maintain technical literature accompanying equipment.
• Design and deliver training programs for customers on equipment use, service, and repair.
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on equipment in the workshop.

Qualifications and Experience: Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and building electrical systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar Electrical Design software.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, codes, and standards.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally at short notice.
• Driving license.

Preferable:

• Experience with Hydraulic systems.
• Ability to program PLCs.
• Construction site experience.
• CSCS card.
