Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and maintenance of electrical and control systems for heavy lifting equipment. Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- Design and develop electrical and control systems for heavy lifting equipment.
- Create detailed electrical and control system specifications, including hardware and software selection.
- Generate electrical circuit diagrams and schematics.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Electrical Design and safety standards, European directives, and legislation.
- Conduct feasibility studies for new equipment designs.
- Install, commission, test, and operate equipment in workshop and field settings.
- Provide technical support to customers both remotely and onsite.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
- Develop and maintain technical literature accompanying equipment.
- Design and deliver training programs for customers on equipment use, service, and repair.
- Perform routine and corrective maintenance on equipment in the workshop.
Qualifications and Experience: Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and building electrical systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar Electrical Design software.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles, codes, and standards.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally at short notice.
- Driving license.
Preferable:
- Experience with Hydraulic systems.
- Ability to program PLCs.
- Construction site experience.
- CSCS card.
