Electricity North West distributes electricity through 57,000 kilometres of overhead lines and underground cables, enough to go around the world one and a half times. We actively manage the power network in real time, responding to issues with remote technology and teams on the ground. We provide an essential service to 5 million people in 2.4 million properties covering 10% of the electricity demand of Great Britain from Cheshire to Cumbria.

As a Civil Design Engineering Apprentice you will learn and develop skills and an understanding to enable you to carry out Civil & Structural Engineering design functions across all voltages for ENWL, ensuring cost effective design solutions are produced in accordance to all relevant technical standards, project programmes and budgets.

About You:
You will need the following skills and qualifications to start your career journey with us;
- A minimum of Maths and English Language at GCSE (or equivalent) levels 4 - 9 or A* - C;
As well as one of the following -
- Two A Levels A* - C (one must be in a Maths or Physics), or
- A BTEC National Certificate Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (merit or distinction)
- An ONC in Electrical Engineering (merit or distinction)
We will also be looking for:
- Working as part of a team;
- An interest in driving forward your career;
- A desire to learn and develop.
