What does the role involve?
Where required meet clients to discuss requirements and agree how the works can be undertaken ensuring relevant policies are adhered to.
Manage the design Acceptance process ensuring new projects are logged and designs are approved on time, ensuring approvals are returned within SLA’s and issuing queries/rejections within a timely manner.
Updating documentation and making changes to processes.
Work with Energy Assets Networks Operations team and legal team to ensure smooth adoption of networks.
Review customer requirements and provide a broad range of electricity design services on electrical connections to demand and generation developments based on the customer scope of works and the location of the site.
Work within a multi-disciplinary design team to develop multi-utility network
Provide periodic project progression feedback to the Design Manager and update the appropriate systems accordingly.
Process project variations with due consideration for implications to the following: design, commercial, client relationship, and supply chain.
Assess Point of Connection request on IDNO network and offer PoC within SLA
Assess Micro Generation G98/99 and G100 applications and respond customers within SLA
Assess Electric Vehicle Home and communal charging connections
Update Design data and keep data in Presentable format
Who we're looking for…
Suitable candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working within an Electrical Design environment. Candidates must demonstrate a robust knowledge of industry standards and company policy and procedures ensuring all designs are fully compliant with the relevant codes of practice and Energy Assets Networks standards. Be able to liaise with the DNOs/IDNOs regarding their requirements and specifications in order to obtain all relevant information required to undertake electrical network design activities. Excellent communication skills and good attention to detail are essential for this position.
