Electrical Designer

Client: My Client is a specialist MEP Commissioning and Project Management Consultancy based in Central London. They have gained over 60 years of industry experience between the Directors and work on the behalf of London’s blue chip main contractors, M&E Contractors and Clients including: Wates, McLaren, Phoenix ME and Essex Services Group.  Typically they have cover the commercial office market, Stadia and Data Centres. Following a sustained period of growth and a recent move to new offices, they are looking to appoint an Electrical Designer.

Role:Electrical Designer - £55,000 - £65,000 + Package

The successful candidate will be working alongside the directors, commissioning managers and project manager to assist with upfront design.

Role/Responsibilities:

• Delivering design and information packages meeting project programmes
• Provide appropriate design solutions for specialist customer specific requirements
• Liaise directly with the project manager and commissioning managers responsible for the project
• Attend meetings and represent the company without support
• The use of CAD/REVIT/BIM software
• Ensuring design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative requirements
• Performing engineering calculations, making reasonable assumptions to support design validity

The ideal candidate:

• 3 years + experience as an Electrical Designer/engineer
• Ideally have a HNC or HND and good technical knowledge of electrical design services.
• Experience working in the commercial/data centre/stadia sector
• Have the right forward-thinking attitude
