Graduate Electrical Design Engineer

Due to continued expansion, our award-winning client based in Peterborough currently has an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer. As a Graduate Electrical Designer, you will provide electrical service support to all departments in the UK and abroad, primarily focusing on Electrical Design, programming, and testing of their machines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support all departments in the organisation with electrical requests
• Collaborate with all departments on customer projects
• Assist in managing customer projects from an electrical perspective
• Support with designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical drawings using computer-assisted engineering software, estimating material, labour costs, and project timescales
• Coordinate the ordering, panel build, and installation
• Design and conduct tests
• Create technical files
• Ensure projects (Electrical Design) meet electrical safety regulations
• Conduct feasibility studies for new technical innovations.

Person Specification:

• Degree educated in a relevant engineering field
• Some experience with Electrical Design, through internships, projects, or coursework
• Knowledge of Electrical Design software and tools is advantageous
• Basic understanding of electrical safety regulations preferred

Hours of Work, Pay, and Benefits:

• Salary up to £35,000
• The role is full-time based on a 37-hour week
• Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:45
• Company pension scheme after 1 years’ service
• In addition to the usual public holidays, currently 8 per annum, there is an annual leave allowance of 21 days
