Job Advert: Lead Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Engineer to join our team and take on a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction. As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs), and overseeing the effective delivery of services.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage client and building users' expectations to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with agreed KPIs and SLAs, optimizing resource utilization to meet targets.
- Take ownership of the CAFM system for the site, ensuring timely completion of tasks and quotes.
- Manage Health & Safety, environmental performance, and quality procedures on-site.
- Coordinate adequate resources for labour and materials to fulfil contractual obligations.
- Assist in employee succession planning and recruitment as authorized by senior management.
- Represent the company at client meetings and explore additional business opportunities.
- Prepare and submit required reports to clients and the management team.
- Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by management.
What you'll achieve:
- Coordinate and take responsibility for planned and reactive maintenance, complying with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Work safely on ELV/LV/HV and electrical systems, managing additional capital works and sub-contractor activities.
- Diagnose faults, coordinate repairs, and actively participate in planned maintenance schemes.
- Carry out electrical installations and mechanical services works in compliance with regulations.
- Ensure quality control of sub-contractors' work and provide training and support to the team.
- Maintain statutory and mandatory compliance records, certificates, and CAFM systems.
- Encourage team engagement and participate in H&S committee meetings.
Requirements:
- Qualified in engineering discipline at NVQ level or higher.
- Essential electrical experience; 18th Edition qualification.
- LV/AP and HV/AP qualifications are advantageous.
- Mechanical experience and cooling tower experience are advantageous.
- Experience in FM service delivery with sound knowledge of H&S Legislation and COSHH.
- Effective communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to manage and prioritize a demanding workload, delivering projects on time and on budget.
- Knowledge of Concept systems or similar.
