Electrical Engineer

Job Role: Electrical Engineer - Contract
Location: Stewartby, Bedfordshire (accepting applications from surrounding areas)
Salary: Up to £400 per day (£100,000 per annum!)
Hours: Monday to Friday

The Role:
· Collaborating with various teams to design electrical systems for lighting, power distribution, lighting and controls for company projects.
· Assisting with the coordination of contractors and technicians by supervising and overseeing the installation of electrical systems.
· Develop technical drawings, specifications and documentation for electrical systems to ensure accurate execution and clear communication.
· Implement quality control processes to ensure all installations and design specifications are carried out efficiently and safely.
· Carry out commissioning and testing procedures to ensure all electrical systems are functioning correctly, resolving any issues that may arise.
· Liaising with different teams and stakeholders within the project, assisting with budget planning whilst utilising resources, using cost-effective solutions.
· Take part and lead meetings as the technical expert, addressing electrical related questions and making informed recommendations.
· Introduce sustainable practices into electrical system design, minimising environmental impact where possible.
· Maintain accurate documentation surrounding the progress of the project, monitoring the progress of electrical installations and reporting this to project managers where required.
· Follow company health and safety procedures.
The Requirements:
· Minimum 5 years experience with electrical system installation, design and operation (essential)
· Degree qualified within Electrical Engineering (essential)
· Proficient in the use of electrical software and CAD design packages (essential)
· Knowledge of electrical regulations and construction industry standards (essential)
· Knowledge of modelling and simulation systems to assess electrical system efficiency and performance (essential)
· Previous experience surrounding Electrical Engineering with the construction industry (advantageous)
· Previous experience leading teams and/or projects (advantageous)
· Full UK Driving License
