Overview
Due to continued expansion and the commitment to sustained and profitable growth, our client now wishes to appoint a highly motivated and industry experienced Electrical Engineer for their Southern business unit. You will be joining a welcoming and collaborative team of experienced Fitters, Jointers, Engineers, and fellow Engineers who are passionate about supporting each other, and our client s customers, covering an exciting range of projects. You will carry out LV & HV switching, isolation, earthing, SFT, identification of the point of work, and issue of safety documentation duties and project management on construction and asset replacement contracts. You will also be responsible for all aspects of operational duties, creating switching schedules and methods of work, and control and monitor all electrical construction and maintenance work on HV/LV networks up to 20kv.
The Role
- Manage and undertake Electrical Engineer Authorised Person activities (Up To 20kV)
- Self-manage and deliver a targeted number of annual inspections of LV / HV assets
- Provide technical support to colleagues and network operations as needed
- Establish and work towards personal development plans
- Where appropriate, facilitate training and supervision of colleagues
- Maintain a helpful, safe and informative work environment
- Any other duties as required by the management
The Person
- A qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer with operations expertise up to 20kV
- An excellent attitude towards safety and operational excellence
- Technical knowledge of LV/HV products, systems and associated plant
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a team
- Knowledge of current regulations, standards, and codes of practice
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders
- A valid UK driving license, as the role will require traveling to clients and sites etc
