Job Summary

Alecto Recruitment are currently working with an award-winning British medical technology company who are specialist manufacturers of equipment for the healthcare sector, who are now looking to recruit a Service Engineer in the South of the UK.

Responsibilities and Duties

Offering bespoke equipment servicing packages which can be tailored to individual client needs, the team of experienced engineers cover a wide range of operating theatre equipment from a variety of manufacturers, including medical lighting, medical control panels, medical architectural equipment, medical Audio-Visual systems, IPS and UPS systems.

As Service Engineer, you be working on various client sites across the South mostly as part of a scheduled call plan to ensure permitted access to sensitive areas.

The nature of the role may result in some early starts and late finishes given that you are working in hospital environments, so you must be willing to travel and work flexibly to suit the needs of the clients.

Duties will include the Service, PPM, repair and calibration of medical operating theatre equipment including:

• UPS - uninterruptible power supply
• Medical IT(IPS)
• Theatre Control Panels
• Operating Lights
• Medical Service Pendants and UCV needs

Skills

To be considering for this role you will be an experienced and electrically qualified Service Engineer, who is happy travelling and working as part of a team.

Candidates with previous experience of working with medical operating theatres are always preferred. However, full training can be provided for those who possess transferable skill particularly with regards to commercial lighting, flood lighting, control systems, bms systems, battery packs, UPS systems, IPS systems or similar.

Qualifications:

• Ideally 18th Edition Electrical qualified
• Test & Inspection qualified
• NVQ Level 3 (desirable)
• Ful UK driving Licence
