About the role:
Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, you will work closely with the Factory manager and production asset cell leaders to ensure that machinery downtime is kept to a minimum and that all preventative maintenance is conducted in advance to avoid production disruption
Key Responsibilities:
Work as part of a small team of multi-disciplined engineersUndertake PPM's on equipmentLiaise with the Engineering Team Leader to ensure the supply of appropriate partsMinimize the amount of downtime suffered by the site following machine breakdownsContinually develop your skills and knowledgeComply with all health, safety and environmental policies and proceduresChampion H&S matters as delegated by the Engineering Team LeaderChampion building maintenance as directed by the Engineering Team LeaderMentor and coach other engineers to deliver a quality service to productionProvide key 'process control' fault finding, code diagnosis and general all-round PLC knowledge skillsAbout you:
Knowledge, Competence, Experience and Qualifications Required:
Strong Mechanical or Electrical knowledge and ability on Food processing machineryExcellent process control knowledge. Able to fault diagnose multiple PLC platforms and generate and develop their own CodeCompetent in building electrical control systems from switchgear through to software implementationEngineering apprenticeship and associated qualifications such as BTEC ONC, HNC, HND in Electrical Engineering is essentialIdeally, IEE qualification up to 17th edition Wiring RegulationsHave a proven track record in an Engineering and fault-finding role gained from within a FMCG environment (Ideally Food or Pharmaceutical industry)Have a good understanding of HACCP, COSHH and GMP principlesYou will also possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate assertiveness and decision-making skills and have a positive attitude to your workStrong leadership and Team Development skills, high levels of energy and team engagementDrive Root Cause Analysis and strive to prevent re-occurrence with counter measuresMulti-skilled in both electrical and mechanical engineeringCMMS experience and knowledgeAbility to deploy and execute the preventative maintenance strategy for the siteDriven to deliver solutions, ideas and innovations in a positive and pragmatic wayPassionate about quality and best practice whilst driving continuous improvementWorking knowledge of internal H&S audits and processesAdditional Information:
