Our client is a utilities infrastructure provider specialising in the delivery of integrated power and communications solutions. It is a private equity-backed business that is rapidly growing.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
This Post is within the Power Estimating Team reporting to the Commercial Director of Power.
The Estimator is responsible for the timely production of detailed pricing of HV & EHV Tenders/Quotes up to 132kV generally from client scope/Specification or DNO Point of Connection offers. This will require the compilation of accurate estimates from mainly first principal methods for multi-discipline works, including labour, plant, equipment, materials and sub-contract requirements during tendering and bidding.
KEY DUTIES:
Delivery:
- The position reports to the Commercial Director.
- Preparation of tenders and quotations from specifications and drawings within defined periods.
- Preparation of Tenders and Quotations from DNO Point of Connection offers within defined periods.
- Make site assessments and evaluate any risks and potential problems.
- Produce formal handover documentation on accepted work.
- Attend handover meetings were required and explain project scope, estimate, clarifications, and assumptions.
- Completion of all company procedure documents and financial information.
- Report on and review all projects with the Commercial Director.
- Document review.
- Attend and lead contract meetings with clients and contractors.
