About the Role
1st Step Solutions (M&E Recruitment Specialists) are looking for an Electrical Estimator to work with our client in a permanent on various projects near Swindon.

Start Date: ASAP
Job Type: Permanent
Location: Near Swindon
Salary: £52.5k
Benefits: Car allowance, 30 days holiday (including bank holiday), pension scheme, long service benefits, further development opportunities.
Working hours: Monday – Friday (potential to work from home 2 days per week, after probation)
Requirements: Previous experience (minimum 5 years) as an Electrical Estimator, experience working on pre-designed, design / build opportunities, previously worked as an electrician Duties: Working within a 100-mile radius of our client’s office. Work covers multiple projects, including industrial, manufacturing, residential, and commercial sites. These vary from £10,000 to circa £500,000.
- Receiving enquiries from clients
- Attending site meetings / surveys as required Post tender review meetings with clients.
- Sending/receiving enquiries to/from suppliers & specialist sub-contractors.
- Formulating take-offs from drawings
- Presentation of tender to Director for approval prior to submittal
- Detailed tender submission
- Carrying out an in-depth review of the enquiry extending to contractual, health and safety, logistical and technical aspects of the opportunity
- Detailed tender handover report to Project Delivery Team
- Assisting in the development of colleagues such as Administrators or Junior Estimators
- Ownership of our established estimating package
- Preparation of tender price
