SalaryWe are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join a well-established M&E contractor based in Edinburgh. Responsibilities:
- Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings to accurately assess the scope of electrical works.
- Prepare detailed and competitive estimates for projects of varying sizes and complexities.
- Collaborate with the wider team to obtain accurate pricing and quotations.
- Analyse and evaluate subcontractor/supplier quotes, negotiate terms, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the project management team to develop project budgets and schedules.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, regulations, and material costs to ensure accurate pricing and competitive bids.
- Participate in tender review meetings and contribute to post-tender negotiations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within the construction industry, preferably with M&E contracting experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and relevant regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to price tenders for electrical works of varying values and complexities.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Relevant technical qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field are desirable.
