The successful candidate will be someone who has extensive electrical expertise and experience working within the electrical contracting environment. Attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to present thorough information in a structured and professional way will be key to securing this opportunity.
Building working relationships with key suppliers, manufacturers and wholesalers is also a key skill to ensure the most suitable and cost-effective solutions are included within estimates.
Attention to detail and strong organisation skills will be essential to allow the completion of multiple estimates from all areas of our business. You will be able working as part of a team reporting to the Senior Estimator and be able to cope with multiple enquiries simultaneously.
Working closely with the senior estimator to report and update regularly on estimates and current opportunities the successful candidate will be able to report specific and clear information regularly to assist with the ongoing future growth plans for the business.
The successful candidate will be working on complex projects which will involve mechanical & electrical installations across a wide sector of industries including, NHS trusts, industrial works, factory installations, new build commercial properties and building refurbishments.
Candidates will have:
ï‚· Full UK Driving Licence
ï‚· Right to Work in the UK
ï‚· The necessary technical skills to be able to estimate electrical installation work efficiently and in accordance with the National Working Rules for the Electrical Contracting Industry, the current IET Wiring Regulations for the Requirements of Electrical Installations BS7671, and the Construction Industry Safety Regulations.
ï‚· Excellent communication and presentation skills
ï‚· Experience of estimating projects within the electrical/mechanical industry
ï‚· Good IT Skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Trimble Estimation
ï‚· Excellent time management and organisation skills
ï‚· Ability to work under own initiative and with an exceptional attention to detail
ï‚· Ability to work within a team environment
ï‚· Ability to work to deadlines and on multiple opportunities at the same time
ï‚· Willingness to travel to complete surveys, attend meetings to allow the collation of detailed outputs for review to assist with the estimating and tender proposal submissions
