Electrical Maintenance Engineer

A large national FM and maintenance company is looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer in Paddington, Central London. This is a fantastic role for the right person to join an established maintenance team working Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM in a Static shift.

Job Purpose:

In your new role as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and safety of my client's office electrical systems. You will work closely with a team of engineers and technicians to perform scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks, helping to create a secure and comfortable environment for our staff.

Job role:

• Carrying out pre planned and reactive maintenance
• Operating BMS systems
• Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on Electrical/Mechanical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and emergency backup systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and medical gas systems etc.
• Experience within a Maintenance / Facilities Management environment(Commercial Buildings)

We are looking for individuals with:

• Knowledge of Health & Safety, Permit to Work procedures and safe systems of working.
• Experience within a Maintenance / Facilities Management .environment
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, Permit to Work procedures and safe systems of working.
• Capability to perform manual tasks, including manual handling, working at heights.
• Good verbal and written communication is important, including the ability to use a mobile device.
• You'll need to be highly self-motivated and solutions focused with the ability to work without supervision but also enjoy working as part of a team.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose Electrical/Mechanical equipment and system issues, implementing effective solutions promptly.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with the Facilities Manager to develop and implement maintenance schedules and strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities in adherence to Organization's policies.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency response, ensuring Electrical/Mechanical systems
• Adhere to strict infection control measures and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 3/C&G Level 3 qualification (Electrical Bias)
• 18th Edition
• Commercial maintenance experience
• Full UK driving licence
