Introduction
Our client is looking for a Facilities and Maintenance Engineer to maintain a safe, legally compliant, functional and compliant environment on a Military site.
You will be responsible for maintaining Electrical equipment such as alarms, doors, lighting etc. so experience in a similar facilities role is preferred!
This role is based full time on site. Partake in the on-call rota, usually 1 week in 4, allowances will be paid, and company van provided.
Key responsibilities
- Playing a leading role in the delivery of all Hard FM services and associated contract outputs.
- This will include ownership of a suitable regime to achieve and maintain legal compliance on all building systems including and not limited to, Lighting Systems, Door controls, Fixed electrical systems and alarm systems.
- Producing reports evidencing the maintenance records which can be available to internal stakeholders and senior management.
- Provide a suitable and functional environment, by the effective delivery of Planned Maintenance, Reactive and remedial works.
- Enabling the agreed deadline of completion of Maintenance and emergency call outs to be carried out in line with SLAs.
Skills & experience
- Experience in a Facilities environment.
- Qualified to HNC standard in Electrical Engineering or have IEE Regulation certified (18th Edition).
- Multi-Skill with either elect or HVAC bias.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Recognised First Aid qualification or ability to get one.
- Appreciation of working at height, Step Ladder use and inspection.
- Prior knowledge of Tabs FM Management system or CAFM experience is desirable.
