Our specialist manufacturing client is currently recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Technician for their facility in Livingston. You will be responsible for electrical installations, upgrades and remedials and responding to unplanned repairs and breakdowns.
Responsibilities
Maintenance and repair of all production plant equipment
Monitoring, fault diagnosing and repair of equipment.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
Undertaking preventative maintenance tasks on manufacturing & facility equipment.
Assisting in the planning of scheduled maintenance
Drive continuous improvement.
Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
Provide support to Sales, specifying and obtaining costings for, Heating, Lighting, A/Cs as required.
Produce BOMs for Production Electrics as required.
Travel as required for nationwide projects.
Participate in 24-hour emergency call out service and be available to carry out emergency repair work on site.
Qualifications & Experience
City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent City & Guilds qualification)
17th or 18th Edition of BS7671
Basic standard of education such as GCSE, Standard Grades or equivalent
English and Maths GCSE or equivalent
Full Driving License
Ability to perform a range of tasks and duties autonomously once directed by the Manufacturing Manager
High levels of professionalism, numeracy and literacy.
Proven experience in a production engineer type role.
Ability to work under pressure to tight timescales.
PC Literate (AutoCAD, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
