Electrical Marine Field Service Engineer

£45k basic salary with OTE of £70k+ per annum

Working Hours: M-F: 8AM - 4:30PM
Working away from home involved

25 day's + 8 bank holidays entitlement

THE BUSINESS
We are currently seeking an Electrical Marine Field Service Engineer.
Our client has effectively executed projects and provided services to the marine, offshore, and renewable energy industries for more than two and a half decades. They offer consultancy, engineering, construction, installation, and service expertise to a worldwide clientele, operating from Teesside, UK.
The company is currently going through a period of growth and there is a great chance for career development and higher opportunities.
There is the opportunity to travel internationally from Japan, Europe to the USA!
THE ROLE
* Travel UK & abroad - Europe, America, Far East - Predominently Europe
* Fault finding and repair to component level
* Servicing and testing of all types of main and auxiliary equipment - From the engine room to bridge
* Working on high power generation, distribution, switchgear and propulsion
* Commissioning and setting to work of new and upgraded systems
* Modifications to existing installations
* Close collaboration with our electrical and control systems design department to plan, design and deliver both new and retrofit solutions in marine propulsion and auxiliary plant, offshore production systems and offshore construction mission equipment
* Training and mentoring of other personnel
* Execute planned maintenance, overhauls, upgrades, and retrofits
THE PERSON
* Electrical qualification - Minimum ONC/HNC
* Electrically competent
* Previous experience working with high voltage (HV)
* Confident with power generation, power management systems and automation
* Prepared to work hard
* Good work ethic
* Good attitude
* Ability to travel internationally
