Our company, based in Milton Keynes, is currently seeking a diligent and experienced Electrical Product Engineer to join our dynamic team.
This role entails contributing to the development of innovative battery packs for commercial vehicles.

Role Overview:

As the Electrical Product Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and release of electrical commodities and components across various battery programs.
This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of on-site presence for an average of 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the design and release of electrical commodities and components.


• Implement iDFMEA, Commodity Design Validation Plan, and Engineering Specifications effectively.


• Develop and execute robust timing plans to achieve program milestones.


• Lead issue resolution and ensure all changes are implemented effectively.


• Collaborate with suppliers through design phases and procurement processes.


• Analyze and support technical requirements to meet customer needs.


• Contribute effectively to team goals and exhibit influence within the work group.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience.


• Proficiency in complex Electrical Distribution and Electrical Automotive Systems (Battery advantage).


• Experience with 2D/3D CAD tools


• Design through to production program management experience.


• Expertise in specifying and designing automotive/battery pack low voltage, high voltage, and control hardware.


• Familiarity with BEV and PHEV battery system solutions and technologies.


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team.


• Working knowledge of Problem Resolution Techniques.


• Excellent communication, self-motivation, and prioritization skills.
