We are currently recruiting for a leading employer in the paper manufacturing industry.
Reporting into the Senior Project Engineer you will facilitate projects to improve the safety, productivity, and compliance of the Mill.
That may include but not limited to
- Management of improvement projects from concept to completion.
- Technical support of CAPEX projects during scoping and execution phases.
- Ensure compliance with current legislation and standards.
- Comply with mill Safety, Quality and Environment standards.
- Contractor Management – Selection of contractors in compliance with site standards
- Supervision of contractors ensuring H&S regulations and site technical standards are followed.
- Participate in feasibility studies and surveys, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Provide technical information to site departments and external contractors.
- Register and archive the technical documentation generated and / or received from 3rd party companies at end of project.
- Support site engineering and maintenance functions.
Electrical Project Engineer: Primary Responsibilities
- Experience in project management.
- Experience in maintenance engineering
- Engineering knowledge base
- Experience in managing contractors in an engineering environment.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements on a large industrial site
- PUWER requirements
- Electrical Regulations requirements
- CDM requirements
- ATEX Regulations requirements
- Meets objectives and deadlines.
- Working within a team environment
- Computer literate (Microsoft applications including MS Project)
- Flexibility to take on diverse work content as required.
- AutoCAD experience
Candidate Profile
- Formal qualification in electrical engineering discipline (BSc BEng HNC HND) Etc
- At least 2 years’ experience of Project Engineering
- Experience in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial.
