Financial Controller

An opportunity has arisen for an person to join an entrepreneurial, real estate business as they look to hire a Financial Controller. This business is incredible close knit but also put the community and sustainability at the heart of everything they do, making sure they give back to more deprived areas of London through creating beautiful and modern affordable housing.

The Financial Controller plays a pivotal role in overseeing statutory reporting, balancesheet reconciliation and acts as the primary point of contact for all financial matters internally and externally.

There will also be a small team for this role to manage when you will play a part in developing junior members of staff as they progress in their finance career.

To successfully deliver in the profile position, you will need to have:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA, CIMA)
• Experience in preparing consolidated statutory accounts
• Experience in leading on external audits
• Ability to comprehend commercial business operations, drivers and risks
• Brilliant interpersonal skills
• Hands on approach
• Strong excel and systems skills

A little more information about the role:

• Lead the year-end consolidated financial reporting for the Group
• Ensure timely preparation and completely of statutory accounts
• Manage the relationship with the auditors and any other third party suppliers
• Supporting with the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts
• Assist with preparing the weekly cashflow forecasts to identify and manage shortfalls or issues
• Providing support to the Head of Finance as required
