Position: Electrical Project Engineer
Location: Brighton (Hybrid)
Salary: £40k-£45k p.a
Overview:
Our client delivers world-class performance-critical, environmentally friendly solutions, for machinery across the oil & gas, power generation, marine, industrial, chemical & general processing markets, to a global customer base.
Primary Role/Responsibilities
- Provide a professional Electrical/Electronic Engineering service to support project requirements
- To achieve a satisfactory conclusion to allocated projects
- Provide support as and when necessary to Sales team on new customer enquiries
- Assist with generation and review of technical and commercial proposals
- Review customer supplied standards & requirements.
- Generate project documentation (schematics, manuals, test procedures etc)
- Preparation/Delivery of internal & external training courses
- Specification & design of Electrical components & assemblies
- Liaison with customers regarding electrical/electronic & mechanical interfaces, maintaining good working relationships with customers
- Validation testing of cabinets/electrical assemblies (In house)
- To provide technical support to production department for electrical/cabinet systems
- To provide technical support to the field service group on electrical systems
- Support of procurement of Electrical components, maintaining good working relationships with suppliers
- Managing the draughting of electrical components & assemblies
- Managing revision control of electrical drawings & technical manuals
- Track developments in manufacturing techniques/ maintain up to date manufacturing processes
- Drive Continuous improvements
- Other job-related functions as may be required
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in inverter drive systems
- PLC systems
- Plant Installation
- Experience of design for certification for EMC, Machinery’s, & low voltage Directives
- Experience of design for certification for hazardous areas
Qualifications:
1st/2:1 Honours Degree in electrical/electronic engineering
