Job Description
Based out of our offices in Billingham, the Electrical Project Manager will plan and organise all electrical technical functions specific to the project, coordinate interaction between in-house teams and clients, and provides guidance on technical requirements.
- The successful candidate must have a strong electrical background along with experience managing multi-discipline projects.
- Cooperation with the construction team to ensure all deliverables are met.
- Help Lead the Electrical ethos for the project, ensuring that Jones Engineering is the best it can be everyday everywhere.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Review of documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications, design, and relevant industry standards.
- Helps prepare the pre-commissioning and commissioning execution plans (including the schedule and the mobilization of personnel and equipment).
- Ensure compliance of pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures with the Specialist Vendor and suppliers.
- Review of test procedures and of the operating manuals with the Specialist Vendor teams.
- Help prepare the project progress reports.
- Maintain project documentation.
- Attend client & contractor meetings as required.
- Commercially and contractually competent.
- Effective communication and teamwork with engineering, procurement, and commercial teams are crucial for aligning technical requirements with project objectives and ensuring smooth project execution.
- Leadership and coordination are paramount in overseeing multi-discipline teams. Your role will involve fostering collaboration, resolving conflicts, and ensuring that the collective expertise of the team is harnessed efficiently towards project goals.
- Demonstrated experience working with multi-discipline teams.
- Develop project execution plans including definition of scope, schedule, communication tools, software tools and deliverable distribution lists.
- Properly identify and assess project risks and escalate as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships for all projects executed by Jones Engineering Manufacturing Ltd.
- Building and nurturing positive client relationships and ensuring alignment with project objectives is essential for client satisfaction and project success.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with external partners, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and project requirements, is vital for seamless project execution.
Skills and Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Relevant electrical qualifications.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Fluent English essential.
- Knowledge of BS7671 Electrical Regulations essential.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential.
- SMSTS essential.
- CSCS Manager (Black) card desirable.
- Proven ability to manage an existing core cross-functional team / develop the team.
- Candidate should be a high-energy professional with excellent communication, organisation, and analytical skills.
