Electrical Project Manager (with solar & EV experience)

Kings Lynn/Peterborough - Office based with nationwide travel to sites as required

£50,000-£65,000 + Vehicle/Allowance + health package

MDE are recruiting an Electrical Project Manager to work on electrical elements of nationwide construction projects. The role will combine general Electrical Project elements, as well as, solar and EV charge point installations.

*Experience working on UK solar and EV installations is a MUST*

Responsibilities

• Survey and define electrical scope for projects
• Provide technical feedback for project costing
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and suppliers on electrical designs
• Manage construction programme for electrical aspects
• Prepare for site operations with clients
• Procure subcontractors and materials for Electrical Projects
• Issue Pre-Construction Information Pack when necessary
• Develop Construction Phase Plan and Risk Assessments for electrical work
• Ensure compliance with HS&E regulations, particularly CDM
• Manage electrical design changes with clients and subcontractors
• Coordinate suppliers and subcontractors to meet electrical design and quality standards
• Assist QS in managing commercial aspects and variations
• Handover completed electrical works to clients, including Health & Safety File and O&M information
• Collaborate with QS and site staff to mitigate risks and manage contracts effectively
• Cultivate strong client relationships

Essential

• Experience in similar role, particularly in electrical, EV charging, and solar projects
• Required qualifications: HNC in Electrical, 18th Edition to C&G level, SMSTS, first aid, etc.
• Experience in electrical, EV, and solar design
• Self-motivated team player with confidentiality
• Strong time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills (telephone, email, in-person)
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Microsoft Project
• Knowledgeable about CDM 2015 regulations
