Our client, a medical manufacturer, is looking for a qualified electrical engineer with manufacturing experience to take on a site leadership role. You would be the lead electrical operative for the factory. The position is for more of a natural deputy site manager.
Reporting to the site manager, you would be responsible for all site maintenance and engineering requirements. You would also be responsible for safety - setting up manufacturing equipment, ensuring it is maintained and safe, keeping an eye on production operatives and doing risk assessments. Responsibilities would also cover continuous improvement - you would be expected to carry out an effective PPM program.
This is a very flexible and innovative manufacturing site. There will be opportunities to get involved with a variety of things on site, should you have the relevant experience. For example, there is an R&D function - so there is a lot of scope to develop engineering and manufacturing skills if you have, say, 'SOLIDWORKS' experience. Alternatively, if you have building or maintenance experience, you could potentially get involved with expanding/maintaining the building. Essentially, our client is keen to see what candidates feel they can bring to the role.
