The company
Based in South Essex, you will be joining a purpose-built design and engineering premises for chemical manufacturing feeding into a wide range of industries, including the pharmaceutical industry. They are now looking to employ an Electrical technician to work on their wide range of bespoke machinery.
Due to continuous expansion within the company, they are recruiting an Electrical Technician to work on a variety of bespoke and repeated machinery.
Job responsibilities:
- Installation of electrical control panels
- Working with several types of cable management; tray, basket, trunking etc.
- Prepare and install cable management systems
- Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
- Advising management on continued use of unsuitable equipment and appliances
- Working on customer sites to install, commission and service machinery.
This is just a summed-up list of responsibilities and other tasks will be involved.
Skills and experience needed:
- Knowledge and experience with control and machine components
- Able to work with different types of cable management
- Knowledge of cable types is required for a project and installed accordingly.
- Qualified in a relevant engineering discipline e.g. City & Guilds Electrical Installation
- Understanding electrical wiring diagrams for component identification, cable terminations and differentiation from a panel device to a field mounted device, contractors, relays, and motors.
