Technician
A well-established organisation based in L’Derry, are currently seeking an experienced technician to join their team.
This is a full time, permanent role.

This organisation supplies quality branded power tools and accessories to retail and hardware stores across Northern Ireland and Ireland. Offering customers servicing and repair on all tools and machine equipment. This is a large part of their business and a busy department.
This role is perfect for someone who has an electrical/fitting, light plant background and is looking to develop their career within a stable workplace. In this position, you will work amongst a friendly team of well experienced technicians who work on power tools, which can be everything and anything.
They are looking for someone who can fault find and repair. A large part of what we do is a warranty/ repair agent for all the major power tool brands. You need to have great knowledge within this industry and can work in a methodical way, be able to prioritise and work independently as well as working and communicating within a small team.
Key Accountabilities
• Responsible for disassembling and rebuilding defective mechanical parts and rewiring systems.
• Final testing and inspection must allow appropriate running time to evaluate that the repair has been carried out satisfactorily.

• Must have a working knowledge of power tools
• Electrical diagnostics skills.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service.
• Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
• Repair and maintain a wide range of power tools.
• Produce timely and detailed service reports.
• Follow all company's filed procedures and protocols.
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the business.
• Understand customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations.
• Good organisational skills.
• A desire to continuously learn and develop, while actively attending any learning programmes and having an onus on self-learning
• Always practice best practice in both repairing of machines and behaviours within the workshop environment.
• Have an ability to read technical drawings and instruction manuals to solve problems effectively and efficiently.
