Electrician

Bates & Bradshaw are recruiting on behalf of a major Construction & Maintenance company in the Hull area who operate as one of the leading building, repairs, and maintenance contractors. They are presently employing around 500 people and have a turnover of £50 million and they have some ambitious plans in place to grow this again over the coming years.

Job Description

This roll will be mainly focused on domestic properties, undertaking a variety of tasks including:

• General electrical repairs
• Re-wires, refurbishments, and electrical infrastructure upgrades on both empty and occupied properties.
• Electrical installation condition reports
• Upgrade/install to smoke alarm systems.
• Day to day fault finding and repairs.
• Install works for new contracts.

Skills & Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Installations
• 17th / 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• AM2 or equivalent
• 2391 Inspection & Testing in Desirable
• CSCS Card is Desirable
• Full UK Driving Licence

Earnings:

• Basic salary £37,656, Expected Average Overall Total Earnings £41,000+
• 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
• Defined Benefit Pension Scheme with generous employer contributions circa 18.5%
• 21 days holiday per year (exclusive of 8 bank holidays) rising to 26 days after 5 years’ service.
• £600 per year for zero sickness absence paid bi-annually.
• Call out rota and standby, one full week = £700
• Overtime paid at premium rates.
