Electronic Solutions Engineer - Hostile Artillery Location

Job Description:
HALO (Hostile Artillery Locating System) is a state-of-the-art long-range acoustic weapon locating system designed to meet the ever increasing threat of electronic warfare based targeting and anti-radar weapon systems countering radar based weapon locating systems.
We are recruiting for an Electronics Solutions Engineer to be part of a team supporting our next generation Hostile Artillery Locating System development. Starting at the beginning of the engineering lifecycle you will assist with requirement and architecture definition and maturation, design new PCB level electronics to work alongside COTS modules and work with the wider project team to support integration and qualification
What you will do

• Development of hardware solutions with a mix of in-house PCBs and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) modules
• Developing power supply and cabling solutions
• Supporting Systems Engineers develop requirements and architecture
• Supporting the integration of hardware, firmware and software
• Supporting qualification activities

What we need from you
What you really must have:

• Knowledge and experience of all stages of the engineering development lifecycle
• Experience of PCB level design (schematic capture)
• Experience of power supply and cabling design
• DFx knowledge specifically Design for EMC
• Integrating in-house designs with COTS modules (power supplies, single board computers, RF interfaces)
• Integration and verification of hardware systems
• Awareness of Safety, Security and other legislative constraints

It would be nice if you had:

• Domain experience in low noise analogue electronics

You must be capable of achieving full SC security clearance and will require access to caveated information such as UK eyes only
