A Electronic Design Engineer sought for a market-leading manufacturer based in East Sussex, to be responsible for developing new and existing analogue and digital electronics.
Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will be responsible for the design, development and testing of electronics and software across a full range of products. You will design and develop analogue and digital electronic systems, taking the products from concept through to manufacturing release. You will also assist with software development. You will also liaise with other departments during the process including Sales, Production, Service teams and external suppliers.
The Role:
- Design and develop electrical/electronic solutions
- Liaise with Sales, Marketing and suppliers/customers to define requirements
- Design both analogue and digital electronic systems
- Software development
- Testing of electronics and software
- Work with purchasing and external suppliers to track obsolete parts and redesign where necessary
- Liaise with other departments where required including Sales, Production, Service teams and external suppliers
- Occasional travel to suppliers and customers
The Person:
- Degree or HND in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or similar
- Experience in the design and development of analogue and digital electronics
- PCB design experience, ideally Altium or Solidworks
- Programming experience, C, C++ or QML
- Driving license required
