SalarySite Engineer - Tier 1 - Major wastewater and civils project - Bournemouth
Role overview:
My client is a World Leading Construction and Civil Engineering Company.
They are presently delivering upgrade works to a major water treatment plant in the Bournemouth area and need reinforcements in the form of a Site Engineer for at least 12 months of work.
The successful candidate will have experience of setting out on civil engineering projects.
In the role you will be required to use you initiative and coordinate gangs to maximise efficiency and work in-line with the programme.
Duties include:
- Setting out with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations)
- Manage all engineering activity providing direction to the direct workforce and subcontractors
- Quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications
- Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)
- Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client's and business's requirement
- Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
- Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
- Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD
