Lead Engineer

Our Client is looking to recruit aLead Engineerwith a background in heavy plant machinery repair, to complete PPM and Reactive maintenance, this role will transition into a Maintenance Manager role as our client moves to their new site.

What you can expect in this role:

• Complete planned and preventative maintenance on a variety of different machinery (Conveyors, Electromagnets as well as maintaining their skips on sight using MIG/STICK welding)
• Organise the maintenance workshop, ensuring a right control of inventory for materials and equipment.
• Day to day machine breakdown resolution
• Arranging subcontractors for PPM and reactive maintenance
• Creating Maintenance plans for new site, and creating a database for logging maintenance.

What we need from you:

• Be an experienced multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with a minimum of 4 years Industrial / Manufacturing or related experience, NVQ level 3 qualified or equivalent.
• Have previous experience in a fast paced engineering environment.
• Be able to support a team and work together to overcome challenges
• Be able to work under your own initiative
• Able to arrange subcontractors to complete work on site
• Be able to create PPM plans and lead a team to complete them.
• Must be able to Weld (MIG/MMA)
