Security Clearance is essential
Our client is seeking to recruit a contractor to work in their ESD Safe Lab and Workshop programming and testing PCBs for a 2-3 month project. The ongoing role is permanent, for which they are recruiting, so the contractor role will be to tide them over until they have a permanent employee. Therefore, for the right candidate, there is a potential for a temp to perm transition.
The ideal candidate would have experience in programming or testing electronic systems, have keen attention to detail and the ability to work on a repetitive task to a high degree of accuracy.
Job Description:
• Program and test PCBs and systems using Linux and Windows driven software;
• Report any issues to supervisor for troubleshooting
• Support electronic assembly including box build and cable harnesses;
• Work in an ESD (Electronic Static Discharge) safe environment (foot straps and wrist straps provided);
• Administrative tasks to support the build, as required
Requirements:
• Hold Security Clearance
• HND in Electronics/Engineering or equivalent is desirable;
• Experience in programming and testing electronic systems;
• Familiarity with MS Office tools;
• Keen attention to detail;
• Methodical in working practices
• Able to work 40 hours a week on-site
• Able to commute reliably to Guildford, Surrey.
